Kina Shell Lamps
The kina shells have 100% traceabliity back to my wild Wairarapa coast. Many are washed up on the shore.
To strengthen the shells and add weight to the lamp, the kina are filled with polyfilla. While no shell is exactly the same size, they seem to average out to about 7-8cm in diameter.
The base is sandstone which sits on rubber feet.
The shade is a linen, chosen for its natural texture and it blends with the base and shells.
The whole lamp stands at about 58cm. It can vary as the bayonnet fitting at the top telescopes 30mm to allow for personal choice of height. Both European and BC shades fit the lamp.
Every lamp has been fully tested and is compliant with all electrical standards.
